The Oatmeal Heard Round the World
At the Rustin house, we’re big fans of oatmeal. For all of you other oatmeal lovers, here is how I like to prepare it.
Bring 1 cup of soy milk to a low boil and add 1 cup of oats. Stir well and add 1 teaspoon of organic brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Once the oats plump up and absorb the milk, pour it in a bowl, add chopped up bananas and sprinkle some more cinnamon on top.
Another variation is to add raisins instead of bananas.
